In 1971, it was believed that no archaeological find would ever match their recent discovery. Then in 1994, while digging the foundations for the new Nashville Arena (now called Bridgestone Arena), an even greater discovery was made. Deep beneath the surface, down where the earth is cold and dark, the drills and jackhammers unearthed a beast, a baby saber-tooth tiger, completely frozen in a huge block of ice. The site had obviously been undisturbed for years. Rather than subject the creature to an existence of endless scientific research and study living in a cage, they looked for a place where he could feel at home. The cat would need a place that felt like a cave, where he would hear the familiar roar of his own kind. And, above all else, he needed ice! The crew placed the frozen cub in the center of the arena to thaw. When they returned the next morning, the ice had melted and the creature was gone. They searched for days, but never found him. They feared that he was gone forever, but they were wrong. The little beast had gone in search of other tigers in this strange new world. After several years, cat photos for wallpaper

given up hope of ever finding any of his kind again. Then on Oct. 10, 1998, he heard the familiar roar of other saber-tooth tigers. What he found were Predators fans cheering their team on Opening Night. He had found a home. Now all grown up, the huge beast lives in the dark corners of Bridgestone Arena, and only comes out of hiding when he hears the familiar Predators roar that reminds him of home. The NHL's southern-most team traveled a little further south this past week. For the second consecutive summer, the Florida Panthers traveled to the island of Barbados in the southern Caribbean. While the community outreach on the first trip involved a ball hockey clinic, the Cats took things up a notch on their second voyage to Barbados by hosting the NHL's first ice hockey clinic in the Caribbean. The Panthers partnered with Icetopia Skating Rink in Wildey, Barbados to host the clinic. Operating since September of 2016, Icetopia provides locals in Barbados with the opportunity to give ice skating a try on an artificial surface. Making the trek across the Atlantic to head up this event were Panthers defensemen Alex Petrovic and Ian McCoshen, Vice President, Business cute cat wallpaper download

Thornton and Vice President of Broadcasting & Alumni Randy Moller. The crew of Cats were pleasantly surprised by how quickly the youngsters participating in the clinic took to the game. "It's pretty cool, pretty unique," said Petrovic of teaching the game on the synthetic surface, "It's a little bit different skating on [the artificial ice]. Some of the kids who come here regularly are actually really good at skating on it. It took myself a couple of minutes just kind of getting used to it." Petrovic, McCoshen and Thornton helped teach the fundamentals of skating, passing and stickhandling. The final test of the clinic was a shootout against the goalie, Stanley C. Panther. The recently retired Thornton was thrilled to see the enthusiasm from the kids and found his star pupil at the clinic in a young girl named Jessica King. "The kids picked it up pretty quickly," said the two-time Stanley Cup Champion. "I think it was the first time actually having a hockey stick in their hands. I had [Jessica] doing trick passes with me." With the smile never leaving Jessica's face during the clinic, Thornton offered her and her family the opportunity to come to Florida, take.

ceiling. The apartment building, located in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi province, had only recently been built. As new residents began to move in, one noticed a “strong stench” coming from the walls of the master bedroom’s closet. The resident, who moved into the apartment in May, stated that as the weather got hotter, the odor became stronger. On May 29, the resident requested an inspection. On July 2, an official from the construction company inspected various parts of the home, including the plumbing, floors, walls and ceiling. Upon investigating, three plastic bags filled with human feces were found hidden inside a space in the ceiling of the master bedroom’s closet. “As soon as the construction company employees removed the ceiling light, a strong odor began filling the room from that hole. They couldn’t even film or take photos of the evidence [due to the stench] and left with the bags as soon as possible,” the resident told Yonhap News. began suffering headaches due to the stench. Officials believe that construction workers had left the bags full of their waste while finishing interior work for the apartment. The residents stated that they have not received a proper apology and that their requests to have the ceiling and walls replaced have not yet been answered. They were also told to call a professional company to have deodorization work done. It’s been done, but I’m not sure how the construction company did it because the smell is still so strong that it gives me a headache," the resident said.
