Apple Arcade added virtual pet game My Talking Tom to its catalog of titles on Friday. In the game, you adopt a cat, give it a name and take care of it. Make sure Tom's needs are met and that he's happy, fed and well-rested.  Taking care of Tom is a far cry from what you'd experience with a real cat. Tom stands on his hind legs, snoozes in his own human bed and grins sheepishly while using a real toilet -- this animation, particularly, verges on being too realistic. My Talking Tom also includes mini games like bubble shooter, 2048 and Flappy Tom, as well as memory and matching activities. The more you play, the more in-game coins, diamonds and keys you earn to unlock prizes and accessories for Tom.   The game asks for access to your device's microphone early on in the game. This is so Tom can actually "talk" to you and repeat words you say. You can choose to leave the microphone off and still enjoy other aspects on the game.  My Talking Tom is also available in the App Store for players who aren't subscribed to Apple Arcade, but you'll encounter ads and in-app purchases cat desktop wallpaper aesthetic

furniture or knock items off ledges and shelves, only in select, predetermined areas. Moreover, robots don’t notice when you scratch the heck of their couches, walls, or rugs; push items off a ledge; or send crates and boxes flying while dashing through them. Yowling or mewing around robots only gets mild reactions, too. For a bunch of beings that seem to have low familiarity with cats, you’d expect at least a little more reactivity. Even if that robot had been awake, odds are it still wouldn’t have noticed the cat further destroying the couch. PCWorld Also, there’s no control over grooming, but I’m willing to own that I expected maybe a little too much Cat Simulator 2022 when I put down my money for Stray. At the very least, it would’ve been cool to customize my cat’s appearance just a little, even if it was choosing one of two different coat colors. This emotional reaction tells me we need more games with cat protagonists. Preferably ones focused on platforming and exploration. Maybe upcoming game Blanc will fill that void, but the problem is, it doesn’t involve any kitties. But I’m not walking away from the game completely cat desktop wallpaper meme

you're staring at your lock screen thinking "these pictures kind of suck," don't panic! There's plenty you can do to optimize the images that show up in Photo Shuffle. During setup, if you're using the People category, click Choose to make sure the right people are selected or that you don't need to do some maintenance in Photos to its People category. For instance, Photos had baby and toddler pictures of both my kids listed as completely separate people. First, I went into Photos, clicked on People, and merged those errant childhood extras with the kid they belonged to (just drag and drop onto the main person). Also, in Photo Shuffle, I made sure only my immediate family was selected to show up on my lock screen (for some reason, iOS 16 though I wanted pics of my kids’ friends. I mean, they’re fine, but no). But that still didn't give me the optimal pictures I was hoping for. Fun fact, when you take thousands of pictures of someone on burst mode and you never delete anything, you get a lot of weird shots. Luckily, you can train Photo Shuffle to pick better images.
