BRADENTON, Fla. For weeks, Manatee County Animal Welfare officers have been entering a home in Bradenton to remove dozens of cats. Sheriff's deputies initially entered the home during a welfare check in July and found the 80-year-old owner deceased. Investigators believe she died of natural causes. However, they say the home was overrun with cats living in deplorable conditions.

"I’ve never seen anything this bad. Every object in the home is covered in feces," said Macaline Bedford an animal welfare officer. "The ammonia levels were read to be at 32 parts per million, a safe level would be 5 parts per million." So far, officers have removed more than 50 cats from the home but they fear there are dozens still inside. "They’re living in walls, the ceiling. They hide from us the moment they step into the home. That’s why we have traps set, to try and get as many out as we can," said Bedford. The rescued cats have been taken to Manatee County Animal Welfare where they are being treated.

"They had a lot of upper respiratory, eye infections, and parasites," said Hans Wohlgefahrt, with Manatee County Animal Welfare. Right cat wall furniture

the list goes on. Indoor cats may avoid these outdoor dangers, but the downside is they are more likely to be overweight and suffer from boredom. That’s why physical activity and mental enrichment are just as important for cats as for dogs. The good news is, in addition to leash walking and outdoor enclosures, there are many simple ways to provide enrichment and activity for your indoor cat. Here are a few of my favorites: Get Vertical: Cats are natural climbers. Give your little Tigger some vertical space by supplying climbing and scratching surfaces such as cat trees and wall-mounted cat shelves. Indoor gardening: Bring the outdoors inside by growing cat grass for your feline companion. You can pick up pre-grown grass or seed mixes at your local pet store. No green thumb? No problem. Get some dried catnip to sprinkle around your cat’s play area.

Play: Indoor cats get most of their exercise from play. It’s important to provide your cat with a indoor cat climbing wall

proposals related to the infamous “Section 230” statutory immunity, none of which have become law, though some states have adopted highly problematic (and certainly unconstitutional) anti-censorship bills. None of these issues will resolve any time soon. In the near term, the most immediate developments to watch will be the resumption of the UK’s OSB discussions under a new prime minister, and the implementation of the DSA and DMA in the EU. However, there are wildcard possibilities in Australia and the United States that could have a major normative and practical impact on any or all of the CATS. At the same time, the United States in particular could end up making very few significant public policy moves over the next few years, at least when counting only those moves that survive the inevitable court challenges. While the CATS are still kicking, they are now SAD, because joining the field of internet policy primacy over the next few years will be surveillance, anonymity, and disinformation. fragile and delicate balance where multiple critical rights and economic considerations are at stake. Escalation brings national security into the mix, and however justifiable such an action may be, it will only make the balance harder to achieve, and raise the costs and risks facing free expression and commerce. Consider the recent Council on Foreign Relations report, which proposes a shift to American foreign policy, responding to malicious nation-state conduct through a tougher response to attackers, including those working to proliferate disinformation. The report claims that the end of the global internet runs the risk of legitimizing an “us vs them” conflict and declaring the ultimate “Great War for the future of the internet.” As with any war, civilian casualties appear inevitable; here it is everyday freedoms of online speech and commerce at risk. The evolution of technology and the professionalization of its practice may, eventually, deliver happy virtual puppies to replace the SAD CATS. The road ahead for internet policy may be filled with potential potholes, but there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic. More than 63 percent of the world’s population is now connected to the internet in some fashion. And computer technology has not only improved.

10 years of saving abandoned animals When Bell originally opened the hotel in the 900-square-foot location at 4110 Creighton Road, there was nowhere else to rent. She happily agreed to cover any of the maintenance costs that the 100-year-old building incurred. For over a decade, donations were able to cover basic repairs, but now the hotel cannot afford to keep dealing with increasing maintenance fees. Story continues Bell and her staff are still looking for a new home, but "in the meantime, we are going to make repairs to make the building safe for both animals and people," she said.
Volunteer Vicki Dunlap takes a dog out of his kennel for exercise on Tuesday at the Hotel for Dogs and Cats in Pensacola. The shelter is looking for a new location due to deteriorating conditions at its current building on Creighton Road.
After an electrician determined the building to be safe, the hotel planned to open on a limited basis starting this past weekend. A set schedule is yet to be determined. Bell describes the ideal new location as somewhere in the vicinity of the old building, noting the benefits of living near the hotel. She.

B-12, which has a fascinating history. (Annapurna Interactive)
THE NARRATIVE ELEMENTAlthough it’s enjoyable to play as a stray, BlueTwelve endows the campaign with a sense of urgency as the cat and B-12 find a group of robot rebels called the Outsiders who tried to venture beyond the walls. The main missions involve this cadre and they feature heavier puzzle and action elements. The puzzles aren’t too difficult to figure out and involve finding ways to enter a closed shop or distracting a shop owner long enough to steal a jacket. Often, there’s just one solution and the developers make it fairly obvious by an interaction. Further into the campaign, the “Stray” gameplay evolves and offers players more action as they use a device called a Defluxor to zap the Zurks that threaten the cat and B-12. The fancy flashlight has a set amount of energy so players will have to eliminate a Zurk and run away so that the device can recharge.
“Stray” adds more stealth elements toward the finale, and this is where the campaign becomes more difficult. The cat can hide in boxes or creep behind cover if it’s detected, though sometimes it can.
