“We’re all motivated by the same urges. Cats have the courage to live by them,” believes “Garfield” cartoonist Jim Davis. Whether sleeping in the sunshine, destroying velvet couches or sh**ting in people’s shoes, cats can certainly teach us to obey nothing beyond our urges. While cats have been ambivalent about humans since the dawn of time, we have revered and reviled them for at least 12,000 years, and most recently brought them unforetold shame with the 2019 theatrical release of “Cats.” For this, we are truly sorry. Ancient Egyptians regarded cats as the embodiment of the goddess Bastet, and killing a cat was an offense punishable by death. Ancient Greeks associated cats with the goddess Hecate and Romans thought of felines as a symbol of liberty. During the buzz kill that was the Middle Ages and most likely because of their respected position in pre-Christian religions, cats became associated with witchcraft and devil worship which led to the once exalted animals being killed en masse. Cats, as per usual, had the last laugh as their extermination at the hands of religious zealots is thought to have directly affected the proliferation of the Black Plague as less norwegian forest cat price

Scorpio is the strategic survivalist of the zodiac and qualities of the Chartreux breed include keen intelligence and preternatural adaptability, qualities that sustained them in the wild for centuries. Scorpios are suckers for a goth tinged poem, and Joachim du Bellay penned a real feline feels factory with his 1558 ode to his dead Chartreux, Vers Français sur la mort d’un petit chat (on a small kitten’s death). The poem argues that the cat ought to be immortal, a cause close to the dark Plutonian heart of all Scorpios. years ago. Defensively, they were very good in spells, and over three months between December 2020 and early March 2021, only Manchester City conceded fewer goals. Whether Bournemouth switch to a back three like Fulham did then remains to be seen, and they will need to recruit to do that, but it does make goalkeeper Mark Travers (£4.5m), defender Lloyd Kelly (£4.5m) and wing-back Jordan Zemura (£4.5m) possible budget options. Peter Rutzler Brentford Let’s start with the obvious – Ivan Toney should be going straight into your FPL team. The 26-year-old, who was directly involved in 17 goals last season, represents exceptional value at only £7m. There are lots of exciting alternative options to choose from in Brentford’s squad who will fly under the radar and could potentially give you the edge over your rivals. Josh Dasilva has missed the majority of the last 18 months with a complex hip injury, but has looked impressive in pre-season and will switch between playing on the right wing or in an advanced attacking midfield role. At just £4.5m, the former England Under-21 international could be a cheap and smart bench option. Club captain Pontus Jansson, who costs £4.5m, only missed one which is bigger maine coon or norwegian forest cat

least get to double digits if he avoids injury and Fulham avoid crisis. It is worth noting too that Mitrovic picked up a career-best seven assists last year, and has more of a role in Fulham’s build-up play. At £6.5m, that makes him a good option. Another excellent value pick from Craven Cottage is Andreas Pereira, who has already provided two assists in three games for Mitrovic in pre-season. Both were from corners, and Fulham scored the most from set plays (25) in the Championship last season. Pereira is valued at £4.5m, less than fellow dead-ball specialist Harry Wilson at £6m, who provided 19 assists last year and 10 directly for Mitrovic. If he and Fulham start well, he too could be worth considering. Peter Rutzler Leeds It is unwise to start your FPL season with too many Premier League debutants, so while we recommend keeping an eye on new boys Luis Sinisterra (£6.5m) and Brenden Aaronson (£6m), you may want to give it a week or two in order to watch Jesse Marsch’s starting XIs congeal properly. 18 goals and 10 assists he registered last season, even amid more challenging surroundings. At £6m he feels like a solid investment as somebody who is likely to be one of the main men once more under Steve Cooper. Paul Taylor Newcastle United Allan Saint-Maximin would be the obvious answer here and, at £6.5m, he is available at a snip, while Callum Wilson (£7.5m) will provide a solid goal return when he is on the pitch, but injuries are a concern. Instead, Kieran Trippier, at just £5m, is a genuine bargain. Not only is Trippier a guaranteed starter, and likely to skipper the side with club captain Jamaal Lascelles probably dropping to the bench, he is also designated free-kick taker and scored two in just four starts before breaking a bone in his foot in February. As a set-piece specialist who is almost certain to chip in with a few assists along the way, and given Newcastle boast a mean defence under Eddie Howe’s tutelage, keeping seven clean sheets in their final 18 games of last season, Trippier is an astute right-back option. new album. “I know this is kind of stupid, but I always dreamed of doing a rock opera,” she shared. “Laugh at me now or later, but it’s something I always wanted to do. I know that’s nerdy and weird but that’s me.” It’s not implausible to think of Willow writing her own “Black Parade” given her melodramatic and theatrical artistic thumbprint. With years of development and just maturing in age, the latest output shows just how far Willow’s come from her playground “Whip My Hair” days. The night did have one surprise: an offering of an unreleased track called “Hug Her Like a Goddess” that showed Willow at perhaps her most vulnerable as a vocalist, with a beautiful sing-song style that could even have Broadway calling. Even more reason for her to get on that rock opera. Selena Fragassi J. Cole J. Cole headlined Lollapalooza on Saturday night to one of the biggest crowds of the weekend. Be that as it may, Idles; brutal delivery lies in that plot with a hard bit of post-punk thrust and even some hardcore fury mixed with the tortured soul poetics of Nick Cave on songs like “Mother.” “Are you ready to collide?” he screamed at the fans looking back up at him, inspiring a giant pit to form. Both bands’ sounds are kindred spirits, stripped-back garage rock with a punk bent that boasts narrative storytelling in the lyrics and a whole lot of spirit in the delivery. In the case of Hinds, they also started embracing their cultural roots, writing more lyrics in Spanish on their latest gem of an album, 2020’s “The Prettiest Curse.” After having their Lolla set originally thwarted last year due to visa issues, Cosials proudly declared, “We’re here now!” Now that they’ve wrapped up a successful tour with 5 Seconds of Summer this spring, expect to see more of them too.
