Wall Playground For Cats

You’re going to need your best negotiating skills if you want to convince your significant other to let you add your own Nyan Cat to the kids’ room. This goes a bit deeper than just mounting something on the wall. The LEDs which light up this Nyan Cat installation are actually in the wallboard itself. Luckily, this is actually a ‘playground for grown-up kids’. [Schinken] and his fellow hackerspace members built it at their location in Bamberg, Germany. It started as a Nyan Cat scarf, which was easy enough to hang on the wall. To make it sparkle they added sixteen LEDs. But you won’t see the wires from either side. A hole was drilled at the location of each diode, with a trench chiseled between them. This makes room for the wires, and was covered with spackle before painting. It turned out to be a pretty simple way to add a focal point to the room, and it certainly has the appropriate level of geekiness for a hackerspace. Cats are everywhere on the internet. They’re the subject of memes, card games and even have their own day. But in the world of video games, felines have been criminally cat wall playground diy

alleyways, railings and balconies in the enclosed city are a perfect feline playground. Players can use the cat’s preternatural balance and agility to prowl the maze of pipes or hopscotch across air conditioners jutting out of walls. Traversal isn’t free and easy; instead, it’s built for a methodical approach that dovetails with the more cerebral gameplay. As the cat, players have to help the robots who have managed to build a semblance of society underground. They’ll uncover side quests such as finding sheet music for a guitarist or collecting flowers for a gardener. Those simple tasks reward the cat with badges that are displayed on the harness the cat wears. These activities aren’t complicated or hugely rewarding, but it gives players an excuse to venture around the exquisitely detailed world. That in itself is an appealing part of “Stray.” The rich environment is conducive to letting players imagine life as a cat, turning the game into a cat simulator of sorts. Players’ natural curiosity will let them discover that doors and couches can be scratching posts. They’ll find rugs to paw at and nooks to nap in. They’ll even knock pots and other items off shelves, a devilishly fun activity cat wall playground ideas

have to retry the scenario. The stealth parts of “Stray” aren’t as polished as the others, but it does break up the gameplay from being too monotonous while also feeling right at home with the spirit of the protagonist. While the gameplay foundation is solid, BlueTwelve elevates “Stray” through its storytelling. The use of B-12 allows the Cat to deepen the character interaction and strengthen the world building. Pairing the two along this odyssey also gives the adventure an emotional weight as players learn to care for the feline protagonist and its companion. In the end, players realize that cat is the vehicle for the game, the sweet outer wrapping, but its beating heart is the diminutive drone, B-12, and together, the two become an unforgettable duo. ‘Stray’ 3½ stars out of 4Platform: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PCRating: Everyone 10 and up Gieson Cacho is the video game columnist for the Bay Area News Group. the stealthy cat who goes undetected or do you barrel straight into the fray? You get to decide. Stray is a new take on the traditional adventure game hero. You're small, vulnerable, voice-less (except for the occasional meow) and lack opposable thumbs. These limitations don't stop you, but they do require some ingenuity. You're also not entirely thrown to the metaphorical wolves. Not long after you wind up in the city, you team up with a little robot named B-12. The flying bot outfits you with a backpack for all your findings.  The cat's mannerisms are so realistic and adds some extra levity to gameplay.  Annapurna Interactive Even with your digital companion, each chapter's challenges require thinking ahead. Be cunning, thoughtful and creative. The game rewards curiosity – sometimes resulting in lighthearted, humorous moments. The key to figuring out what to do next in the sprawling city, whether your mission is high stakes or you're just seeking collectibles, is exploring and interacting with the environment.  Stray is a one-of-a-kind video game that is so much more than a source of cat puns. The settings are stunning and bustling with characters that are easy to love. The developers deliver heartfelt narrative.

begins with a gang of four cats living their best lives in a lush, overgrown industrial park that’s long been abandoned by people. Players are an orange tabby, leaping across huge pipes and steel beams until one slip changes everything. As its friends look on, the cat falls dozens of storeys down a deep, pitch-black hole, landing in a broken heap on the concrete floor of a sewer. The cat is injured, making players walk around limping and woozy for a while before recovering normal mobility. The injury scene is tough to watch and even harder to play, even for a dog person like myself, but it builds an instant emotional connection with the tabby that carries through the entire game. The bulk of Stray takes place in the neon-lit neighborhoods trapped under the dome and populated by anthropomorphic robots. Players explore while trying to find a way back to their friends in the sunlight, and eventually the cat is equipped with a cute little drone that helps it communicate with the robots and hack certain terminals. The drone, B-12, is attempting to solve a mystery of its own – while traversing the cities, players collect memories from random shining.
