If you're like, well, just about anyone who's had an iPhone for a few years, you probably have hundreds, if not thousands of images in your Photos library. Sure, you've always had the ability to set an image as a desktop wallpaper but it's a manual process. And if you'd like to switch the image, you have to go to your wallpaper settings and choose something all over again. In my case, I've got over 80,000 pictures in Photos. Some of them are precious (or just goofy) family photos. Some are beautiful shots of landscapes I've seen or cities I've visited. An inordinately large number of them are of my cat, Loki. I'd love to be able to see more than one one at a time, without having to manually choose or dig through thousands of images to find the right one. Enter the new Photo Shuffle wallpaper in iOS 16. Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro over the months we’d had to test them, but we were hoping to see at least some improvement in the thermal department. And while the display is great, the 60Hz-locked refresh rate makes it less satisfying to use than some alternatives. The Google Pixel 6a pulls some of the best Pixel 6 features into a smaller and more affordable package. This is a Pixel that, at any lower price point, would be just as sweet as any other. However, the Pixel 6a doesn’t come in at $349 or $399. Instead, it’s tougher to justify for most buyers at $449 when the superior Pixel 6 is looming so close at $599 (or less on sale). With that said, if you’ve been clamoring for a smaller Pixel with the full-scale Tensor experience, this is your man… er, phone. It’s capped in terms of RAM and storage, as all Pixel A series devices are, but you’re not likely to notice either factor in day-to-day life. What you’re more likely to notice is the smooth Pixel UI experience, the enjoyable Material You customizations, and the clever imaging algorithms that keep Google besting the budget competition despite the device’s aging camera hardware.
