Jul. 20TRAVERSE CITY A Garfield Township woman lost $24,000 in a Facebook Marketplace scam. She tried to purchase a Sphynx cat from a seller in a different state on Facebook, according to officials from the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office. The seller asked the woman, 38, to send over gift card access codes via text message and online instant messaging, according to police reports. Initially the cat was only supposed to cost a couple of thousand dollars, but the seller continually asked for more money, citing increased costs of shipping and quarantining for the animal, the reports said. According to estimates from breeders, the average cost of a Sphynx cat can range from $1,500 to $6,000, depending on the pedigree of the animal. Captain Randy Fewless from the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office said the woman was advised to stop all communication with the seller. The seller has not been identified, and there are no suspects in custody. In fraud cases like this, Fewless said it can be nearly impossible to recover the money and find the source of the scam. Fewless said if an online purchase requires gift cards of any kind, it can be safe to assume hairless cat paw meme

weird, crawling face-huggers of the night. Now, when we first see one of these creatures – a few of them actually – they appear harmless. On the contrary, they seem frightened of us, scattering as we move forward. However, in our second meeting, we see the menace that they can be as a drove of them start chasing us. We survive by the skin of our teeth in this first encounter with what will be the main hostile enemies of the game – they are called "Zurks." Thus, we arrive at the first large, semi-open-world section of the game. After escaping the Zurks we enter a neighborhood that seems safe from the infestation of the dark alleys. Here we run into our first humanoid robot, a disheveled one at that – trust me robots can be disheveled. A concerned look overcomes his face – yes, that should probably read "its" but these are robots that are indistinguishable from humans apart from all the metallic bits and the digital eyes – and he raises the alarm, mistaking us for a Zurk. Traversing through the neighborhood, anyone who sees us runs away hurriedly in a scared fashion, locking doors in our face..

another terrific journey through the realms of video games in our next TEA session – though I must warn being careful with tea around cats, particularly ones that are playful.Cats Protection reveal felines who found new homes in 2021 Cats can struggle in the heat just as much as dogs do, especially when they wander out of the house to explore under the scorching summer sun. Despite being domesticated from desert species on continents like Asia and Africa, cats are still at risk of overheating when they spend too much time exposed to the heat. Some breeds are more susceptible to hot-weather problems than others, but there are plenty of simple steps you can take to keep any breed of household cat cool during a heatwave. How to keep cats cool in a heatwave While most cats can regulate their own body temperature to keep themselves safe, it is still important to prepare your pets for scorching heat which they may not be used to. Water, shade and plenty of cool spots to lounge in are all essential for your pet’s health, but what exactly can you do to ensure they’re all set for the heatwave both indoors and outside?.

Rarely do we actually behave like an animal, although when we do, it can be hilarious: 2019’s breakout cult hit Untitled Goose Game stars a nasty goose honking, pecking and chasing its way around a village of peeved humans, for instance. Stray, released last week, has us playing as the internet’s favourite animal, a cat, doing cat stuff: pattering across roofs, snoozing on cozy cushions, pushing things off shelves for no discernible reason. Owners film their cats mesmerised by realistic videogame Stray – video Players and critics have lapped Stray up. Even Peta likes it. But it’s also been winning over the feline population. Players have been posting pictures and videos of their own cats watching the game, apparently fascinated by the virtual cat’s surprisingly realistic movement and meows. The Twitter account @CatsWatchStray has now compiled hundreds of them. “Working for so long on a game, you really.
